SERVICES

Customized Résumé Development and Writing

Cameron Associates delivers a résumé and cover letter in a template that can be adjusted to suit different job ads. We use a consultative, collaborative process in the development of documents for job search. We emphasize your accomplishments, abilities, expertise, experiences to increase your potential to be noticed by Applicant Tracking Software (ATS) and prospective employers.

Process

  • Analysis of your current résumé/other information provided by you focusing on your desired job areas/aligned with your expertise/skills

  • Email delivery of v0.1 (or the first draft);

  • Revisions up to v0.2 and v0.3 in template format

  • Invoice payment must be made prior to any drafts being provided

Note regarding content/wording we may keep:  If your original resume wording/content in any section of the resume is already appropriate, we do not rewrite for the sake of rewriting. We keep what may be good in what you send us, then remove or rewrite content to make it easier for ATS technology and people to read your resume.  The goal is to have content in your updated resume to optimize keywords/prioritize your resume against hundreds of other applicants for the same job.  The result of ATS technology and recruiters/hiring managers is then based on ATS programming and choices made by recruiters/hiring managers.  There is no guarantee made by Cameron Associates and/or Linda Cameron regarding the outcome of ATS or decisions made by recruiters/hiring managers.

Note regarding Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS):  We create resumes that can be read by ATS systems. When you upload your resume to Indeed or ZipRecruiter (ATS systems) this does not mean that those or any ATS will automatically correctly place the names, places, etc., in the proper location on their site’s form.

An ATS is a reader, and when it tries to apply its fuzzy logic to fill in an online form, it’s not guaranteed (and Cameron Associates and/or Linda Cameron does not guarantee) that any ATS or any site will pick the right information from a document grouping it together correctly in a jobsite profile form.

If you’re doing more than just uploading your resume to attach it to your online profile (e.g., you’re letting that system try to recreate your resume to fill in its form fields), you still must review it and most likely edit/correct it.  Do not assume that ATS will parse and fill exactly.  They aren’t that sophisticated yet.  ATS checks for matching keywords between your resume and a job ad, or your resume to whatever keywords a recruiter might input to do a search.  ATS can read information attached to profiles on those job sites, but they’re not ‘writers’ or ‘form fillers’. If you let them fill in a form, you must check/correct the information.

Cover Letter

Cover letters make use of keywords from job ads.  To create a Targeted cover letter, a job ad is needed.  The alternative is to provide you with a generic cover letter template with guidance in the template to help you adapt your cover letter to the job ad.

LinkedIn

As with resumes and cover letters, LinkedIn uses keywords to find candidates with matching job skills.  LinkedIn is an application tracking system (ATS) allowing it to be used to find candidates and allowing job seekers to find jobs using keyword searches.  With a final resume, we can provide you with a guided document to update your Linked profile to get more out of it. (LinkedIn has deleted profiles being edited by others using your login.  Using our document or collaborating via Zoom, we can guide you through updating your profile.)

Career Coaching

Services provided are consultative and flexible.  Depending on client preference, we can be more methodical in the approach for career transition (e.g., using RIASEC model to determine preferences to define potential industries/careers to pursue) through the use of a workbook, career planner, implementation toolkit.  We can also be methodical in approach/more consultative and pursue client goals through a chronological process of identifying needs and defining steps to reach goals.  Career coaching also includes defining skills gaps, interview rehearsals (using STAR/SAR and traditional interviewing approaches), as well as ongoing consultation as-needed in career progression, challenges, aspirations.  Client understands the process is iterative and dependent on client participation/cooperation throughout the process.

Invoicing/Payment

Client agrees payment to be made/processed/cleared prior to any work being done.

Pricing: Costs are based on the information provided by you.  You are charged for services to be received.  If your resume or other information shows your years in the workforce is more than what you’ve provided at the time of purchase, you will be billed for the difference; work will not begin until proper payment has been made/completed.
